Project name with special characters --> not saved

Hi there,

I included special characters in my project name (":-)") and for that reason it was not saved properly: there was only an empty file when I wanted to open the project today.

I am aware that this is a minor bug - as most people would not choose characters for their name anyway - but still worth mentioning?

It would be nice to get an error message when trying to save with characters which are not allowed.

Hi Sarah,

That is strange.  I just tried the same thing and it worked.  Is there a chance this was an old OpenProj file ?   Are you on the latest version of ProjectLibre ?   Thank you for the note, it is helpful to look into.

Best regards

Hi Marc,

thanks for your reply!

Yes, I downloaded ProjectLibre directly beforehand, so it must have been the latest version. Also I did not use OpenProj before.

Just tried again to save it with "a smile", still does not work for me. Yet, as it worked for you, it must be a unique issue. The only other thing I can imagine is a problem with Java, though I updated that as well.

Just wanted to mention the problem in case it is a general one, good it is not though...

That is weird... I am on a Mac 10.8 and tried with a space after the word then :-)   and also continuous and it worked... we will look at it when we get a chance but for now no smiles for you

Here are some interesting starts which I found out when iH ad to write my project for paper writing website:

In 2011, U.S. attorney's office in Boston announced Van Parijs of MIT could receive up to 5 years in prison and up to a $250,000 fine. The government alleges that he falsely claimed to have developed a specific transgenic mouse and to have obtained certain results from an experiment. According to a plea agreement, Van Parijs has agreed to pay MIT $61,117 in restitution.
