Hi

I am a brand new user of ProjectLibre, so firstly hello!

Apologies if this is something which has been asked before - I've had a quick check of the discussions but can't see anything related - please do point me in the right direction if I've missed something though.

My question...by default, a day is set up to last from 8.00 til 5.00; however I need to change this so that the default start time of a day is 9.00 (and still finishing at 5.00).  Is there any way I can do this?  There is nothing obvious in the menus (or if there is, I've missed it).  This has an impact on costings as well as the actual hours, so any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

Ed

Hi Ed,

I may recommand you to have a look at the documentation at http://www.projectlibre.org/document/projectlibre-documentation . Details are provided on page 48 and followings of the english version.

Hope this helps.

Best regards,

Yves

Hi Yves,

Thank you for that. I had tried to use the calendar button, but my changes didn't make any difference.  I wasn't aware of the help documentation though.  However, having read it through, it doesn't help!  Whatever I try, it always resets back to an 08:00 start.  Oh well, I will keep trying - thanks for your help though.

Regards

Ed

Hi Ed,

You may define a new calendar with a new name. You may also for this calendar select a specific date with a single click or multiple days using Ctrl or Shift keys in combination with left click. Then for the specific days, you may use the standard hours (8-12, 13-17) or define your own. You may also select week day (use Ctrl or String key for multiple week days selection. For non working days, select "Non Working time".

Finally do not forget to update the Base calendar for your project. Go to "File", in the "Project" group, select "Information" in the General Tab, you'll find the dropdown "Base Calendar". Just select the one you'ld like to use and close.

It looks like there is a high granularity for calendars and different calendars may be used or defined for resources ("General" tab of resources) and at the task level ("Advanced" tab for the task).

Hope this helps.

Sincerely,

Yves

I am having the same issue with changes to the Non-Default working time not changing to the settings I type in. I am selecting multiple days with the Ctrl key then changing time and clicking OK.

When I examine the calendar the times have not changed.
