Inserting columns

On a Mac, unable to insert columns. Documentation says right-click but the application doesn't respond to a right click, verified it works elsewhere on the Mac.

Inserting columns
I just inserted columns on my Mac. You need to click on the header in a column and then I clicked on the pad and there is an option to Insert column
got it
Highlight a column then I clicked the column header next to the highlighted column and it presented the dialog box.
