The open source movement is growing rapidly.  ProjectLIbre is a shining light for the impact open source can have around the world competing against proprietary software.  ProjectLibre now has more than 80,000 downloads in essentially every country in the World covered in this usage.  Our reach is powerful with the open source model.  We are getting many language translations and downloads are extremely distributed, only 20% of the downloads are in the United States.  I will post another blog shortly that further discusses the regional and global impact  of ProjectLibre and open source.  Microsoft Project can costs $1,000 for Professional.   A good example is in Bangladesh with over a hundred users of ProjectLibre.  There are serious needs for project management software in Bangladesh for infrastructure and other projects but their per capita income is only $848 per year!   The impact of ProjectLIbre is being felt around the world and will continue to expand in reach.
