The ProjectLibre team close to releasing the first update to OpenProj in many years..... a big YEAH!  We are very pleased with the development and will be releasing with a number of significant improvements:

  •    -  Microsoft Project 2010 compatibility
  •    -  User Interface update
  •    -  Printing (wow, how did we not have that in OpenProj)
  •    -  Many bug fixes

Please check back with us or email us at   We really want to get community involvement!

Is the July delivery still on target?  I am eager to see the improvements over OpenProj.  I especially hope we will be able to select the major and minor time divisions.

Oh, I was hoping for July, now it's become August... Hope it won't be delayed further since I am really waiting for this version.

That's so great news! I had switched to "GanttProject" last year because I wanted a cross platform project management tool that is being developed further, which OpenProj wasn't.

Now the big question for me is: How do I get my GanttProject content into ProjectLibre? I assume the MS Project export / import will be the thing, but am afraid that it will not work flawlessly. Maybe you add interoperability with your competitors?

I am interested on translating ProjectLibre to Spanish (Latin America). I am dissapointed with the Spanish localization of OpenProj and I believe that I could do a better job with ProjectLibre.

Buenos dias Roger,

We are going to set this up online so you can collaborate on the translation. It is really appreciated.  Santiago is a wonderful city..... I enjoyed time there recently and snowboarding in el Colorados. The people and culture were wonderful. It s great to have you as part of the community.   I will forward you information on the translation.  It is appreciated!
