Quick question - answer may be obvious

I've got a quick question about ProjectLibre.  I want to set an absolute date for the Finish column and basically work backwards from that.  For example; an entire project has to be completed by, let's say, October 1.  I'd like to set a hard date in the Finish column and then have ProjectLibre calculate, based on the number of days I enter, the absolute last day a task would have to be started to meet the Finish deadline.

Is that doable the way I'm describing it?

Hey there,  it is actually very easy.... when you create the project there is a radio button with the default clicked that says Forward Schedule.  If you uncheck this it will backward schedule.

You can schedule your project as normal and then in the Projects Information dialog box put the finish date you wish for the project.  It will schedule backwards from that date and let you know when you need to start the project.

Great question!!!!!

I am new to Project Libre. I am trying to export a project file I created in PL (.pod) to Excel. I am sure there is an easy way to do this but I can't seem to find it.
