Changing timeline view

I am a first time user.
Can anybody tell me how to change the schedule timeline view from weekly to monthly in the GANT chart? I am working on a lomg term project and need to compress the calendar view into monthly increments.

Zoom in and Zoom out in Ribbon
You can zoom in or out with the ribbon bar
I change the Timeline with
I change the Timeline with the zoom in and zoom out and save the file.
After I open the file but the timeline is diferent.
How can I mantain the timeline?

That is a good observation.... it does not save that preference. It goes back to the default
