Cannot install on Windows 7 64 bit

I cannot seem to get Project Libre to install in Windows 7 64 bit. I double-click the .msi file and the process starts for a second 'gathering information...' then exits silently.
My Java (7) is all up to date and things like Eclipse and PhpStorm run fine.
Any advice from anyone would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Are you using Beta 3 ?
Hi Nick,
I am sorry to hear of your install issue.... will discuss internally here but the first question is if you are using the Beta 3 ?
Thanks,
Marc

Installed
I have win7 x64 and it worked for me. The "installer" is very quick and basic. Once it is done you can find it by either: [1] - Start>Search>"ProjectLibre" and it should find it very quickly (before you are done typing it in). Or [2] Start>All Programs>ProjectLibre>ProjectLibre.

Solved!
Ah, you are absolutely right! It was SO fast and minimal that I had assumed it had failed.
Thanks Mathew

Fast and minimal install works for us!!!!
Great to hear! It is only a 10M download as well which sometimes has people perplexed as MIcrosoft Project and the Office Suite items run in the X00 M..... good luck and we look forward to your continued feedback. We do have a beta 4 coming out this weekend with all the fixes as well.

Reply: Cannot install on Windows 7 64 bit
Hello Iam
You use which version of ProjectLibre? If you have a version less than 1.5.6 try uninstalling previous versions and install the latest version which is 1.5.6.
The address to download is this:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/projectlibre/files/ProjectLibre/1.5.6/
In the event viewer of your windows is displayed some information related to this problem? If so post here.
I hope this helped.
Ditto Win7 64-bit Java 6 32-bit
Using 1.5.7 msi I encounter the same issue of Java not detected by the installer. What method is the msi using to confirm presence of Java runtime on Win 7 64-bit? It seems it is not detected the presence of 32-bit Java.
Detecting Java: download the 32 bit version
As Hezuquis mentioned in this thread you can download the 32 bit version....
If by "32 bit version" you
If by "32 bit version" you mean the 1.5.6 version, I attempted this version .msi with the same result.
Sorry... I meant Java 6 or Java7
Hey there... here is the link to ProjectLibre files for 1.5.7 It is actually a Java6 or Java7 issue... You can choose to install for Java6 here. http://sourceforge.net/projects/projectlibre/files/ProjectLibre/1.5.7/ That should work

Thanks for sharing this information, I will help you quite a PL community.
Thanks for offering this
Thanks for offering this approach but I already have Java 32-bit installed and the msi still will not complete.
Download of other versions
I am not sure what the issue is but you can download other versions from Sourceforge at http://sourceforge.net/projects/projectlibre/files/ProjectLibre/1.5.7/ or http://sourceforge.net/projects/projectlibre/files/ProjectLibre/1.5.6/
We will check into this as well....
