We are attempting to open the discussion forums again.  We released ProjectLibre 1.9.2 with some updates on import/export.   It was a request to integrate with Procore in the construction space.  Please let us know if you are using ProjectLibre projects with other solutions.  We are also interested in your suggestions of 3rd party integrations in the future.

Updating (ver. 1.9.2) task with actual completion is totally confusing. A task scheduled for 1 day was completed in 0.5 days. Unable to make this actual update in the task update window. Unable to find any solution in documentation or in community posts. Keeps forcing actual to mirror planned duration.

I don't completely understand the question but have you tried using the Task Usage Spreadsheet to enter your actuals? One other note, if you had a 1 day task it is actually by default would translate to 8 hours work. If you assign 1 resource that would maintain a 1 day elapsed duration.... if it is an effort driven task would still be 8 hours but if you assign a second resource the two resources would complete the task in 8 hours but the elapsed duration would be 0.5 days. There is a way to also override that setting if it is not an effort driven task. I should do a video on that as well....

My problem would probably related to your reply here.I have been using projectlibre since 2018 and currently using it to teach students at my university on project scheduling. Regarding resources, if a set my task with fixed units and enable the effort driven feature and assign 2 resources at 100% units each, task duration is reduced to half. But on the gantt, my finish date remain as the original date, only the horizontal bar changes. The arrow linking the tasks remain unchanged. What is the reason behind this? Is projectlibre displaying the elapsed duration instead of the plan duration? Please share a video on this matter if you can. Thanks

That is wondeful you use ProjectLibre in our University. I just tested to make sure it was fine.... there are 2 ways to assign a resource. There is a video on our YouTube channel that discusses but maybe a snippet of one just on this... here are the two ways to assign 2 resources on a 10 day task....

1) I have a 10 day task and using the Assign Resource dialog box select Resource 1 and Resource 2 highlighting both and hit assign
**** task maintains a 10 day duration

2) I have a 10 day task and using the Assign Resource dialog box select Resource 1 and assign (task is 10 days long) I then go back and assign Resource 2 hit assign
******* task is 5 days long

**** task maintains a 10 day duration

Good morning,
im a new userds and i try to build a test project for my company. I insert alll activities that i want and then the resources. In order to don't make any change at the time activies i flag boc "ignore resources calendar" (calendar it s been set on 24h). All it seems work pretty good even if the total counting day is minor than one of the indent group of activities. How is it possible?
Regards.

Hello Tom, if you right click on the header row in the spreadsheet..... you can Insert a column or delete a column. If you have inserted a custom column like Number, Date or Text for example....then when you right click on the inserted Column you will also have the option to Rename the column so it is not just a generic Text3 column name but something relevant
