I am using Project Libre for the first time to plan my summer garden. I'm familiar with Earned Value Management from work, but this garden of course doesn;t require that level of complexity. I'm hoping I can use the basic features of the software to meet my needs. The layout is simple - I have 6 20' rows that I would like to fill with vegtables for as much of the growing season as possible. Some rows can acommodate two types of plants at the same time. I know the growing time for each plant "Duration", and the "start no later than" date for each. I have labelled the rows A-F as a "work" type resource. I don't need any notion of "work hours" or an 8-hour shift etc. Basically I just want to show that "Row A" is occupied from May 1 through July 31st. I can't figure out how to display that view, showing me which rows are at 100% capacity, and which ones have <100% capacity (meaning I could plant something else wiithout waiting. Also I have manually defined Predecessors, but I would like PL software to do that automatically, by starting the next Task on the weekend following the date that the previous plants are pulled from a row.
