I asked this question years ago, never received an answer.  :-(

What is the earliest date that can be entered into Project Libre?  I think the earliest date will be sometime after 1800.  When I tried this idea years ago, 1949 was the earliest year I was able to successfully enter.

Yes, strange question, since projects usually move into the future.

I'm hoping to be able to use the GANTT chart feature to track historical events.  I used Microsoft Project 2003 over 10 years ago to lay out a work plan for the summer, and it worked quite well.  I'm hoping to do similar here.

I looked at timeline software during my earlier efforts at this, but was not able to find anything that met my needs.
