I'm overseeing multiple projects with different project managers.

I would like to generate a summary list of all the projects in one view or one page.

The summary would contain in each row the project title, next open milestone and the target for that milestone.

Is there a way to do this in ProjectLibre?

That is a great question and we are working on it.... the team has been heads-down working on a replacement of Microsoft Project Server.  This will include multi-projecting. I'd like to reach out to you directly shortly and get feedback on the efforts!

Cheers,

Marc

Hi Marc

This question was a good one, as a multiproject view is a basic requirement for any decent project management tool, though it is lacking in most. Can you let us know how this is going? I couldn't see it in 1.5.5 yet so assume it's not available right now.  Along with this is resource pools, as it's essential to be able to share resources across projects. I saw that this was also requested some time back and planned for 1.5.5, but I didn't see that either.  Can you enlighten us about progress on that too.

Yes, it is agreed and something we are very keen on finishing. The rewrite of ProjectLibre is coming along very well.  The rearchitecture is also progressing to add the multiprojecting and resource pools.  I have been innovating in project management software since the mainframe, VAX/VMS and DOS days... .which makes me old :-)   We have strong feelings about the multiprojecting capabilities and resource pooling.  These are a top priority for enhancement.... look for more clarification on dates but we are looking at the Fall.

We are working with getting the server improved.  Drupal can be slow sometimes but we need to optimize.  I am a big Drupal fan so we want to stay with Drupal Commons but have discussed getting a new site spun up.  There is just so much else we need to focus upon as well....
