I recently installed ProjectLibre, but an constantly faced with the system auto-magically changing an defaulting the start dates and times to whatever it feels like. How do you get around this?

PL does not seem to have the capability to create a new project from a template but, it will open a MS project template if you rename it from *.mpt to *.mpp To create your own templates, save an existing project as e.g.

I am working on scheduling a project and am not exactly sure on the dates of each task yet.  I have broken the project into many small tasks.  I have an estimate on how long each task will take. 

Amongst other things, it would appear that one cannot change simple things such as currency symbol, time units (hours vs. days), etc.

I'm uninstalling this software. Maybe I'll try again in a year or so...
