Block out holiday and show grids when printing

So, I'm a newbie here, I have created by programme spreading over several months.
Firstly I need to block out Xmas holidays - any ideas?
Second, I would refer to show the grid when printing. I can show rows, but can't find a show columns button anywhere - any ideas on this one as well?

Calendar answers
Thanks for your note... you can select the Task ribbon with the Calendar option and make Christmas a holiday! You can also zoom in to a weekly view which is probably better since it is a 7 month project and when you print it will not show the weekends.
