We are starting some big projects and need to be able to collaborate on a project in real time on multiple machines. Being able to add tasks and what not on the fly. As we are a small company we have to be flexable. is there any support for this? we have tried but the updates dont seem to reflect once saved.

Hi jollins

please remember that ProjectLibre is a program that has to be installed on a computer to run it.

this implies that the project file made for your project is active in one computer at one time. (even if you would load your project files on multiple computers, then each computer will make its own changes, additions, deletions without influencing the project running at another computer. ; so this will lead to multiple variations of your project , not good)

so the active project file   can be only active on one computer at a time in order to keep it aligned.

I would keep one  person for making the changes to the project file; have all others offer input to him/her and get the results in return.

What you could do is to  save the project file in the cloud, google docs, dropbox, sugarsync and share it with your project staff. Now each of your staff, can approach the project file and read the results of the   changes.

Keep one note under the project name , to record the changes and revisions made.

Note: in my previous function, we worked with Primavera, 3 licences. So we could work real time with 3 computers on same project, we never did it. Always the project planner in charge to keep control over the project.
