Colors for each task

Hey guys,

It would be great if we can assign a color (or background color) for the tasks. Please consider adding this feature.

Task color config

Thanks for the note... we are conflicted on adding this to a future configuration option as critical path really should be displayed red and non-critical blue by convention. If you had a magenta project plan it might cause more confusion than benefit on the customization. This will be a lively topic when we get to the configuration efforts.... Hi, Firstly a huge thanks for the program and all the efforts.

I think this is a must have for the program, to visually differentiate between tasks. Your program is a great advance on GanttProject but different colours for different tasks is vital. Best wishes, MM

I think that the gantt can

I think that the gantt can continue as the convention. I am thinking more in the task name.

If you can pick a color by task you can use it for various uses:

- priority

- urgency

- categorize

- team selection

- have more visible the most important/critical tasks.

This is a tool that you want to share with other people and the colors is a very useful visual tool for that.

Task color config

Hi everybody

Many thanks from my side for the programm and the efforts, too!

For me, different colors are very important as a building site manager. There are many participants in the progress (gardener, road builders, electritian, planners, etc), which should be recognizible with the first look.

Also important for me is the possibility, to bring some (free) text into the time-line, because sometimes there are special task which should be seen with one look...
