Duration : Days Vs Hours

Using the example where a 3 hour task will take 3 days to complete due to only having 1 hour available for project work on each day, is there any way that this can easily be built into the plan, to give easy visualisation that although a task is spanned over 3 days there is only 3 hours work?

Thanks for your comment.... you can either insert the Work column in your spreadsheet or drag it so it is visible next to the Task Name in your Gantt spreadsheet.

work (hours) are linked to duration (days)

Going off of this previous question, I am unsure if it is unable to "unlink" the duration and the work. If my task 1 can be completed any time between a 2 week period, but it will only take about 8 hours to complete, then is it possible to state it should be completed over the course of the few weeks, but shouldn't take longer than 8 hours?

If I put in duration as 14 days, the work comes up automatically as 112 hours. If I change the work to 8 hours, the duration changes to 1 day.

Is what i'm asking for possible to display?
