How To Change Start Time

I'm hoping someone can assist. I'm trying to set a start time for my project before 8am (it needs to be 7am). I've tried to change the standard calendar to show a 10hr work day/60hrs a week/31 days a month with one day off and the remainder of the days of the week set to be from 7am-5pm. In the Gantt chart view, this will not change the duration/start/finish times. How do I change the start time? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Set your own hours , 24, night shift, etc.
Using the pull-down menu; left side, of calendar; do not use standard if you do not want. Once changed, new tasks will accept your new selection.

This is what I've found as well. The only way I have been able to change the start time in any way is by changing the calendar to the 24hr format. If I try to modify the standard calendar and even save it (and verify that it has been saved), it still does not allow me to change the start time to before 8am. Sorry to say it heviiguy, but I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one.
