Out of sequence tasks done but project end date doesn't move
Really enjoying using this program, good work!
I have a question on the way the program handles the project end date. If I have 3 tasks a,b and c.
If they all have 10 days duration and are setup up so when 'a' finishes, 'b' can start and then when
'b' finishes 'c' starts. This means that the project will have a duration of 30 days. If 'b' is then finished
and set to being 100% complete before 'a' has finished, the project end date is not brought in. It just
leaves a space. Can this not be done automatically?
The problem I have is that the resource is occasionally doing tasks that are planned for later. When they
do the task that has been completed, it does not show any update in the project end date. I have attached an image of this.
I guess you could say that if they are able to do a task that happens later and is dependant on a predecessor that it
is not truely dependant. I did this to keep a linear project. Maybe it should have been dependant on the
resource availability.
Your help is truely appreciated

Scheduling correct
Hello C,
If you have sequential 10 day tasks it is still correct that it would schedule the project at 30 days. That is unless you finish one of the tasks in less time... but completing and keeping at 10 days (even out of sequence) would still have a 30 day duration.
Best regards,
