Pulling in schedules (10hr work days)

Hi,

I've create a project using the standard settings (8hr work day). I found that project completion date is too far. I'd like to try and pull in the schdule by increase to a 10hr work day.

I tried a number of things but can't seem to get it to pull in.

In the calendar options, there is a field to change the work day to 10hrs. Once I do this I see the durations get reduced, but the start/end dates don't change so the end date remains the same.

I also tried creating a second resource, with a 25% Max units and add the resource to the tasks. The task duration seem to drop by 50% (not 25%), but again the start/end dates don't seems to change.

Any ideas on the best way to do this?

Thanks,

Tony

Looks like I found a solution.

If I got to each task, and highlight the resource and then click assign resource, I can increase the resource from 100% to 125%. This reduces the duration accordingly and pulls in the schedule.

You can highlight the resource on multiple tasks at one time (using CTRL), and make the change once.

This seems to work.

Thanks,

Tony
