In today's interconnected world, the concept of virtual teams and virtual projects has become increasingly prominent, transforming the traditional workplace.  This creates new opportunities/challenges for businesses and individuals alike. There are many forcing functions to the remote work revolution. The McKinsey Global Institute notes that "Hybrid work is here to stay," This trend has gained momentum due to several factors:

• Technological Advancements: The prevalence of cloud solutions and communication tools has made it easier than ever to connect and work from virtually anywhere.

• Access to a Global Talent Pool: Virtual teams allow organizations to tap into a global talent pool, enabling them to recruit top talent regardless of their physical location.

• Cost-Efficiency: Reduced office space requirements and overhead costs make hybrid teams a cost-effective solution. Examples: Dropbox has announced a $575 million adjustment to their finances as they downsize their San Francisco offices to move hybrid. PwC has allowed 40,000 remote workers and American Express is a hybrid company along with many others.
