Hi there.... in the Calendar you can set the number of hours per day and month.... If you then allocate in the resource usage spreadsheet (for instance) a resource in excess of this then it will kick in the Overtime rate. You can set the overtime rate in the Resource detail dialog box. It will have a rate and overtime rate
Hi there, the overtime rates do work. However, it is based on the calendars as well. You can have an overtime cost on a resource but if the task is on a standard calendar it would not kick in.... please check
I assigned the same resource to 2 different simultaneous tasks, but it did not activated the Overtime. What am I doing wrong?
The resource has Max.Units=100%, and the Overtime Rate is double of the Standard Rate. When alocating the resource to those 2 simultaneous tasks, it gives the maximum time (for any strange reason it alocates at 60% and not 100%) to each task (so he will be occupied at 120%). But looking at the costs, it used only the Standard Rate.

Overtime
Dear Marc, greetings and thank you very much for this information.
Can you provide an example on how to trigger the overtime rate in cost Calculation. I tried many scenarios with yours included.
Otherwise, can you confirm wither the overtime rate is disabled in the latest version or working?
Sincerely
Ahmad

Changed the calendars. Still did not work
Thanks for your reply.
I have created a project with the followings:
Project calendar = Standard Calendar.
a resource called Kh with an standard rate 10 $ per hour and an overtime 13 per hour. Resource calendar = 24 hours.
a task called tsk1 it calendar in the Advance window = 24 hours Calendar
task working hours is 12 hours
It will not make a different if I check the ignore Resource Calendar or not
The cost = 120$.
it is supposed to be 80 + 13* 4 = 132$.
Can you provide me with an example, It is better to explain it with an example.
Sincerely
