Can anyone tell me if I can set my project to use hours instead of days? I've a situation where I had allowed one day for a task which I then completed in only half a day. I can't set the start date for the following dependent task to the same day because it still shows the completed task as finishing at 1700 taking the whole day. I can't find anywhere to set this as an option.

we can include the text column in the libre,but how can we display the same in d gantt chart?

I am able to specify varying availability over time for a given resource using the 'Available From' and 'Max Units' columns of the table under the 'Resource Availability' tab of the Resource Information dialogue (accessed by double clicking on a resource).  However, the 'Histogram' chart does not reflect this varying availability.  Any help appreciated.

Conversion of .pod file to MS xml format  removes some of the tasks assignments.  The resource name columns go blank  for some of the tasks which can be seen when you open the xml back using Project Libre

as usual here is the .pod I'm referring to. I cannot understand why the "percent work complete" is always blank. Since the work is distributed evenly on the duration for each activity, the "percent work complete" should show the same values shown in the "percent work" column.

What versions of MS Project does ProjectLibre replace?  I have a 19Meg MSProject 2007 file and while it opened it and shows the activities, upon close inspection, 50% of the dates have been trashed, making this real annoying.  Do I have to so something special for 2007 file?

The team wanted to send out an update on a few different items, a lot of great news.  The community is growing rapidly. We have a dedicated group developing, testing and getting community feedback.   There are amazing projects from around the world that are relying on ProjectLibre.  A large percentage of the Fortune 500 are using ProjectLibre on Mac/Windows and looking forward to our future releases so they can expand usage.

I'm new to the group, just started checking out ProjectLibre, and am wondering if there is a recommended starting point for newbies like me. I've installed and started a few projects to get a feel for the software. But I'm starting to wonder about some possibilities, like building projects repeatedly from templates, nesting the templates, and having a central resource pool for multiple projects. Any guidance on where I might start looking is appreciated. The 'help' facility does not seem to function right now. Thanks.

Currently, the task type defaults to "Fixed Units".  Is there any way to change it?  Right now, I have to manually change the type for every task I create.  Very tedious.
