ProjectLibre 2023: A Year of Milestones and Global Impact

As 2024 starts, we at ProjectLibre are filled with immense pride and gratitude. This year has been a whirlwind of exciting milestones, impactful partnerships, and a constant reaffirmation of our mission: to empower individuals and organizations around the world with the project management software and resources they need to turn their project plans into reality.

ProjectLibre Cloud Takes Flight:

The year's crown jewel was undoubtedly the launch of ProjectLibre Cloud, our revolutionary cloud-based project management platform. After years of dedicated development and testing, we proudly welcomed our first group of subscribers, eager to collaborate and achieve more together in the cloud. Seeing their initial successes and enthusiastic feedback has been incredibly rewarding. We're thrilled to be paving the way for a future of seamless team collaboration and global project management, anywhere in the world together in your browser.

Desktop Download Extravaganza:

But let's not forget the bedrock of our success: the beloved ProjectLibre desktop app. Surpassing 6.5 million downloads across 193 countries and now translated into 31 languages. It is a testament to the power of open-source software and the dedication of our incredible community. Whether it's a solopreneur chasing their passion or a small team tackling their next big project, ProjectLibre desktop remains the go-to replacement of Microsoft Project for countless individuals and organizations worldwide.

Impact Beyond the Software:

Our commitment to project management education extends far beyond software downloads. This year, we proudly were used in over 1,500 universities, equipping the next generation of project leaders with the skills and knowledge from basic to advanced project management.  We delivered many online addresses to campuses around the world, witnessing these young minds embrace the principles of effective project management fills us with immense optimism for the future. Careers in project management are booming all over the world and we see major growth in Africa, Asia and South America.

But our impact transcends academia.  Organizatins across all seven continents (yes, including Antarctica), from established giants to budding startups, rely on ProjectLibre to manage their projects and fuel their success. We're especially proud of our collaborations with NGOs and non-profits in countries like Cambodia and the Rainbow Children's Home in Cambodia or the Ministry of Education where ProjectLibre is helping build expansion of schools and empower communities. In Laos, major infrastructure projects like hydro plants to help the population. Seeing our software utilized for such noble causes is a humbling reminder of the power of ProjectLibre to make a positive difference in the world.

A Community of Champions:

None of this would be possible without the unwavering support and dedication of our remarkable community. We have one of the largest project management communities, particularly for software. We're deeply indebted to the countless individuals who contribute their time, talents, and expertise to ProjectLibre. We have hundreds of thousands of registered project managers in all 193 countries in the world.  A special shout-out to Shaun Barth for his captivating graphic designs, Sorin Boistean for his website work, Bridgett/Hovsep/Jim/Tony for their documentation contributions, and the countless translators and feedback providers who help us reach every corner of the globe.

Looking Ahead:

As we step into 2024, our team brims with excitement for the possibilities that lie ahead. We'll continue to develop and expand ProjectLibre Cloud, ensuring it becomes the ultimate cloud solution for project teams worldwide.
