161 Project name with special characters --> not saved

Hi there,

I included special characters in my project name (":-)") and for that reason it was not saved properly: there was only an empty file when I wanted to open the project today.

I am aware that this is a minor bug - as most people would not choose characters for their name anyway - but still worth mentioning?

It would be nice to get an error message when trying to save with characters which are not allowed.

Cheers!

Sarah

162 No clue how critical path is determined, can't change it either

Hi all, i'm new to the User Group, i hope i'm not asking the same question for the 100th time.

First, i have been struggling with project tools for 20 years and still do, they still don't work anywhere near as versatile and practical as real-life projects i participate in or lead (consulting business) so i revert to drawing coloured bars in Excel 95% of the time. Still, i can't stand to not master this gantt chart project modelling, so once in a while i make another attempt.

163 Can I Insert POD as Object into PPTX?

I have a Gantt Chart for a project.  Currently I am working on a PowerPoint presentation.

Can I put the chart (just the chart) into the PPTX using Insert --> Object?

I have tried standard practive using both POD files and XML, but no luck.  Is there some trick to this?

Thanks

164 Does ProjectLibre offer export and import features ?

I may be spoiled by features from Microsoft Project but wanted to be able to import (and export)  tasks from a CSV formatted file.
Does ProjectLibre offer export and import features ? Is there another way to load up a project with tasks as a bulk load ?

Thanks, Michael (newcomer to ProjectLibre)

166 ProjectLibre named "Top 10 open source project for 2013"

The year is winding to a wonderful close. ProjectLibre was just named to the "Top Ten Open Source Projects in 2013" ! We are very thankful for the recognition but also know we have a long way to go!

167 Gantt view issues

I have just downloaded ProjectLibre.

How can I change the gantt chart to be viewed in months or years, instead of days / weeks?

Thank you.

168 One team uses one common .pod-file - how can I prevent overwriting?

My colleagues and me have one common .pod-file where we all fill in our projects (because you cannot connect two or more .pod-files).

We have this file on the team server in the network. Unfortunately, there is no alert if two persons open the file simultaneously. If they both make changes and save these, only the newest changes are saved and the others are overwritten.

Can this be solved?

I am trying to set up a reusable template for reoccurring projects. Is this possible?

Thanks!

170 Currency

Hi everybody!

I have Project Libre 1.5.7 installed in two computers with Win 7 in Spanish.  In one computer costs appear with  euro symbol and in the other it apperas with NU$ which is the currency for Uruguay.

Where can I define the currency I want  for my project?

Thanks in advance.

PD: I would like very much to have a menu option for paper size and orientation, printiing parameters, for currency and  so on.
