I am a new user and trying to figure out how to assign costs to specific tasks.  Do I do it through File/Information?  I cannot write into any of the fields that come up (everything is $0.00).  

I would like to request a feature that my Project users are clammering for.

1. I would like to request that the tasks be able to populate into the Gantt chart field (like resources do now) without having to have to retype the tasks into the resources fields

2. Also a user defined print date range. right now, it seems like a print is the entire schedule. I have some construction PMs that want to print the next two weeks, or next month. PLEASE!!!!

Could you please build in a pull-down menu for assigning resources to a task when in Gantt view?

I am new on Project Libre. I have some problems in understanding how to assign resources. Should be the assignement be referred to the completion of a task or to the time available on the project? I'll make an example: I want to assign 3 resources on task A (which is actually a meeting). All 3 resources are full time and they will participate to the meeting. How am I suposed to assign the percetages?

This sw looks great, but coming from MS Project I'm having some issues in finding the same functions.

1) Resources don't seem to be pipelined. Ie if I assign a resource to 2 tasks, these tasks can appear in parallel, even if I set the resource max to 100%.#

2) Sometimes the resource calendar does not work. eg in the standard calendar I set christmas as non working day and as working day in a "supplier" calendar. Still the "supplier" tasks skip the xmas day.

Any ideas anyone?

Project Libre is great, but lacks documentation.

Main use of the program is intuitive, but when you start to work with costs and reports troubles appear.

I try to guess and loose hours of time. I give up till next day and spend a couple of hours and so on.

I have several tasks in a Gantt Chart with zero hours allocated.  Most of them appear as milestones.  One doesn't.

Are there any other factors I should look at other than zero hours?
